Welcome, this is Elvin’s Hillside Rest & View
This room is situated on the Northern end of the main building, my home, it is a full one bedroom apartment. This apartment has its own full bathroom accessible from inside the apartment. We are on a very quiet dead-end road. Entrance to this space is street level, there is also an eleven steps stairway to the kitchen which is located on the upper level. There are street lights close enough that luminates the entire area. Parking is permitted on street or off in a private space.
This space is comfortable for three persons. There is a plush queen size bed, with pillows and blanket for those who need extra warming. There is also a sofa chair bed that can be accessed when needed. There is a 12000 BTU AC unit located in the bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a coffee maker and a toaster, added are cooking utensils. There is also a ceiling fan for extra cooling in the kitchen. There is a spacious outdoor deck available to guests, for relaxing sun bathing or enjoying the view. Once outside one can enjoy the 180% view of the eastern end of the island and catch a view of St. John and portions of the Caribbean Sea. Living quality at an affordable price!!

Neighborhood description
Just a few houses in and around the area, we are one of five of the closest homes, with a few others a few yards away. For grocery the Food Center is just about 7 minutes drive. If you chose not to drive, you can access public transportation for $1.00, or the daily Safari for $2.00. However, you will be required to take a 10-15 minutes walk to the main road in order to access any of the two. You can call for taxi service which is a bit more costly, but will pick you up at the door and take you directly to your destination. The East End taxi service is closest to Elvin’s Hillside Rest & View, just about 12 minutes and are radio dispatched.

Jackson July 2021, We had a great stay at Elvin’s place! It was comfortable, had great amenities for use at the beaches (like goggles and an umbrella), and was a very good value for the money. Elvin was accommodating and friendly, and was available to help our taxi driver find the location even though we arrived late in the evening. I highly recommend staying here!
Fidjenie July 2021, This is one of best Airbnb’s I have been at. The place is very beautiful and big for what you are paying for ; it beats getting a hotel room . Plus you have Elvin who is so kind and helpful. Another plus about this place is that you can always order from Elvin’s restaurant if you want to try the Island food and he is a great cook. Booking this place would be a good decision
Nick May 2021, Elvin has done a really nice job with the place and keeps it well stocked. All the appliances and the wifi worked well. We loved sitting on his deck looking out over the water around sunset. The location is a bit of a challenge unless you have a car. We were able to catch taxis home up the hill with no issues (we had to give directions to most of the drivers), but getting one to come up and pick us up was a challenge, especially during busy times. Elvin provides some business cards in the Airbnb for cab drivers who know how to find his place. We also found that the East End Taxi dispatchers and drivers tended to know Elvin’s place. We ended up walking down the hill in the mornings to the main road and catching cheap safari ($1/$2) or flagging down a taxi to get around the island. We’d probably only stay again if we had a car. But Elvin was great and the apartment was lovely.
