Welcome, this is Elvin’s Hillside Rest & View 2
This room is situated on the Southern end of the main building, my home. It is one of the bedrooms of the main house and is situated on the second floor. This bedroom has its own full bathroom accessible from inside the room. We are on a very quiet dead-end road. Entrance to this room is up stairs, there are eleven steps. There are street lights close enough that luminates the entire area. Parking is permitted on street or off in a private space.
This bedroom is comfortable for two persons. There is a plush queen size bed, with pillows and blanket for those who need extra warming. There is a 12000 BTU AC unit located in the bedroom. There is no kitchen, but we add a small refrigerator, a microwave oven, a coffee maker and a toaster. There is also a ceiling fan for extra cooling or for those who prefer not to use AC. There is a spacious outdoor porch and deck available to guests, for relaxing sun bathing or enjoying the view. Once outside one can enjoy the 180% view of the eastern end of the island and catch a view of St. John and portions of the Caribbean Sea. Living quality at an affordable price!!

Neighborhood description
Just a few houses in and around the area, we are one of five of the closest homes, with a few others a few yards away. For grocery the Food Center is just about 7 minutes drive. If you chose not to drive, you can access public transportation for $1.00, or the daily Safari for $2.00. However, you will be required to take a 10-15 minutes walk to the main road in order to access any of the two. You can call for taxi service which is a bit more costly, but will pick you up at the door and take you directly to your destination. The East End taxi service is closest to Elvin’s Hillside Rest & View, just about 12 minutes and are radio dispatched.

Sonya; April 2021, Elvin’s Rest and View lived up to it’s name. I rested and I took in the beautiful views of St. Thomas while on a birthday trip. Also the goal was to take a break from New York life for two weeks. Elvin’s place is not a grand fancy resort, it felt personal more like visiting with family. Like others have already stated you might want to have your own transportation on the island to get around faster. you can call a cab but I found the sarfarri to be less expensive and sufficient. However as already stated there is a 10 to 15 min walk to the sarfari from the top of the road. Elvin’s hospitality went well over and beyond what was expected of my stay on many occasions. I will be back again.
